On 8 October 2024, the Chairman and Vice-Chairwoman of the Committee received a request for an opinion co-signed by 114 signatories from the three organisations CIRAD, INRAE and IRD, which was submitted to them via the ‘Exchange with us’ page. This request concerned research partnerships with Israeli organisations and companies in the context of the conflict in Gaza.

The Ethics in Common Committee took up this question and adopted a response on 14 November, which was sent to the 114 signatories on 20 November and which the Committee was keen to publish on its website.
