On 29 January 2024, Michel Badré was invited to take part in a round table discussion on the ethical challenges facing the French Oceanography Fleet (FOF) operated by Ifremer, as an introduction to the FOF Strategic Studies Seminar held in Plouzané from 29 to 31 January 2024.

Michel Badré shared his thoughts on environmental ethics and partnership ethics with seminar participants together with Eric Guyliardi, a member of COMETS (the CNRS ethics committee) and Olivier Ragueneau, an actor and representative of the Labo1point5 collective. Academic initiatives to understand and reduce the impact of activities of scientific research on the environment were also broached. Round table 29 January 2024
