On Monday 15 January 2024, the Ethics in Common Committee members met during its first plenary meeting of the year in Paris.
The Commitee continued its work on the two ongoing referrals:

• finalising discussions on the referral “Exploration, exploitation and preservation of intact or moderately anthropised environments",
• and input from Jean-Baptiste Merilhou-Goudard (Science with and for Society Delegate at INRAE) and Clara Ulrich (Fisheries Expertise Coordinator at Ifremer) as part of the new referral on the ethical issues of participatory science and research.

The next meeting of the Ethics in Common Committee will be held on Monday 18 March 2024 in Paris.
