In 2015, two major international agreements were reached: the UN's sustainable development program and its 17 goals, and the Paris Climate Agreement, following the COP21 summit. INRAE, Cirad and Ifremer are particularly concerned with these agreements and their presidents have referred the matter to the committee. On what ethical grounds are these agreements based? How can their application to research be managed, taking into account the multiplicity of cultures and societies?
